Testimonials
In my career, I have had the great fortune to work with athletes from many sports from around the world, from Olympians to players in the NFL, NHL, EPL, PGA, LPGA, MLS, to name a few. Athletes are an inspiration to so many because at the end of the day they enter the arena of competition, putting themselves out there for all of us to see. They rise to the moment and sometimes fail, but the sacrifice and work that they put in, often for the love of sport, the desire to accomplish their dreams, and the commitment to their teammates drives them to continue against many obstacles. Having an opportunity to have had a small part in assisting athletes accomplish these goals, win medals and championships, return from potentially career ending injury, or even being there to support a decision to walk away has been an incredible journey. Below are a few of those I’ve had the good fortune to work with, and their experiences.
After a career threatening injury consisting of a ruptured ACL,MCL,LCL strained PCL and also fracture of the fibula my soccer career was in the balance. After some great surgery from a top surgeon I was onto the rehab phase of my comeback. I was working with my club physio and after 9 months we had hit the proverbial brick wall in terms of getting me back out on the field. I had severe pain at the front of my knee and had undergone treatment for patellar tendonitis.
After some soul searching I heard from a friend about Dr Gerry Ramogida and decided to contact him for advice. I hadn’t been pain free doing exercises for several months and had lost all hope that I could come back from my injury. After spending a couple of hours working with Gerry I was able to perform certain exercises pain free for the first time in months. I couldn’t believe it. A few hours of treatment which included a biomechanical assessment, massage and manipulations and my hope had been reinstated. After following a well crafted programme from Gerry I continued to get better over the coming weeks but I still had a niggle of a pain at the front of my knee. My second appointment with Gerry was where I was amazed even more by the man. He had initially treated me for patellar tendonitis as this is what I told him I was receiving treatment for and also the signs were pointing toward that.
After another assessment Gerry wasn’t happy that it was actually my patellar tendon causing me problems and done a series of tests on me in which he discovered my knee cap was immobilised and was causing friction right on the point I was sore. Some more precise and thorough treatment and the difference was astonishing. The difference was almost miraculous and after spending months with my career being over I had new hope. Again after following a programme specifically designed for me by Gerry over the course of the next few months I eventually made my comeback and ended up not missing a training session for the remaining 4 months of the season and making my 1st team return which was a special moment in my life.
Gerry just doesn’t look at the source of the pain he works around the pain correcting anything that could contribute to that specific point being sore. This is what really impressed me with working with him. The precision and his expertise is something I had never experienced before and I had worked with a lot of physios and so called specialists. I can genuinely say he saved my career and I cannot speak highly enough of the work he does and also the time and effort he puts in to help you. A genuine good guy who I describe to my friends as a genius!”

In my twenty-plus years of coaching in high-performance sport, I can honestly say that I have not come across a better therapist than Dr Gerry Ramogida. His knowledge is unmatched. His experience in multiple sports, and in many environments gives him a depth of understanding that few can rival. His ability to quickly determine the root of a problem, and his skill in the therapeutic process was an essential piece in the success of many Olympic medalists at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
It is often stated that the therapist with the largest box of tools is the most effective. In my opinion, this is not necessarily true – as I have seen many with expansive repertoires, but with little skill. Dr G unequivocally has access to a wide variety of tools, and is expert in all of them – there is no single solution to every problem, and Dr G is extremely adept at pulling the right tool at the right time.
I can sincerely state that the three years I spent working alongside Dr Gerry Ramogida in London were an educational masterclass, and he would be the first therapist I would recommend to anyone – anywhere!”

In July 2012 i was heading into a new season with my club Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premiership with more apprehension than excitement. I was suffering with constant pain in my right knee. A pain that was really taking away my enjoyment of playing the game i loved. Through a friend, I was lucky enough to be introduced to Gerry. Within an hour of meeting him, Gerry (after reviewing my injury history, examining my knee & checking my bio-mechanics) told me, why i was getting the pain and also what i could do to stop the pain. Working with Gerry has not only helped me get to know my body far better in terms of injury prevention, but through his knowledge & treatment, has enabled me to get back playing football (playing my 1st injury-free season in 5 years) which in turn has helped me get the enjoyment of playing professional football back. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

When I first met Gerry, I could hardly throw a baseball 60 feet due to a torn labrum in my throwing shoulder. After working with Gerry vigorously for three months, I made great strides with my rehab process. Through Gerry’s incredible chiropractic, soft tissue and acupuncture techniques my shoulder is now back to feeling almost 100%. Prior to my rehab program with Gerry, I can honestly say that I thought it wouldn’t be possible to successfully rehab without getting corrective surgery. I can now play at a competitive level of baseball again at third base and outfield with the arm that I once had. I am now at the stage where I am able to begin to strengthen my arm past the point where it was before I injured my shoulder, with many thanks to Gerry’s persistence with my rehab program.”

I have had the honor to work with Gerry in many capacities and roles for almost twelve years now. This guy is an endless learner and seeker of better methods and practice. He is proven under fire and has worked with us on projects ranging from NFL players, Premier League Soccer players, NHL players to world class athletics athletes. He was instrumental in a Gold Medal project at the London Games. Many advertise that they work with the elite but Gerry does it on an ongoing basis and its daily, not one offs. Not many practitioners have to make calls and decisions with one hour to go before a world audience where your failure as a performance staff member is there for the world to see. He has done it and continues to do it on a regular basis. One of my first calls on any complex puzzle that appears at our center.”

I spent three years working with Gerry in the UK and always felt in good hands. Gerry helped me rehabilitate after two Pretty serious surgeries after which I never had a problem. Gerry has a whole host of techniques, experience and knowledge to refer To so I was always confident that a successful outcome would be reached. Not only is he knowledgeable but he is a lovely person to work with.”
